Hey Bridges Community,
Tim here, reporting from our second DeepL Dialogues event in Berlin!
It’s been an incredible morning, bringing together leaders from all over to discuss the future of AI in business, and I wanted to share the highlights directly with you.
The day kicked off with a powerful keynote from our CEO, Jarek Kutylowski .
He was talking about this idea of "future fluency"—how AI is moving beyond just words to help us make decisions faster, collaborate better, and navigate complexity. But the part that really struck me as interesting for our community was what he called the "Reality of AI Adoption".
"He put a finger on something I’m sure many of us feel: there's a huge gap between how we personally use AI and how our companies are (or aren't) adopting it.
Jarek's point is that the main hurdle often isn't the technology anymore;
it’s the culture.
He talked about all this "invisible innovation" happening—where individuals are getting amazing results with AI, but they're hesitant to share those successes.
Why? Fear of job insecurity, skepticism from colleagues, or just no clear framework for experimentation. It's definitely a topic that's core to many of the conversations we have here! It made me realize how much of our work isn't just about the tools anymore; it's about changing the conversation and building trust.
This has me fired up for the rest of the day.
But I have to ask you all: Does this "invisible innovation" sound familiar? Are you seeing people in your organization quietly using AI, but the company as a whole isn't talking about it? What do you think is the biggest cultural block holding us back?
I'll try to share a video of the keynote once we have it!
Okay, heading into the next session. More to come from Berlin!
