Dam maw! Hello!

Hello everyone! I'm Go, a native Zomi speaker originally from Myanmar’s Zomi community, raised in India, and currently living in Australia. I’m deeply passionate about preserving languages and cultural identity through digital innovation. Because there’s very little online content or technical support for the Zomi language, my team and I have been developing digital tools such as a Zomi dictionary, song translations, and online learning programs. I’ve also collaborated with Google to advocate for the inclusion of Zomi in Google Translate—a project still underway—and I’m eager to contribute to similar efforts with DeepL. Beyond my language work, I enjoy teaching, writing, and promoting the rights of ethnic minority communities. I’m excited to connect and collaborate with others who share a vision of empowering low-resource languages through technology.
