A few years ago, I started playing an online game where the community suddenly became very multilingual, people were chatting in English, Spanish, German, French, and more. Communication became quite difficult, and I wanted to find a way to make everyone understand each other better.
I knew DeepL quite before for personal, very good, translations. I was so impressed by its accuracy and natural phrasing that I decided to build my own Discord translation bot, called Translate Mate. It uses DeepL to automatically translate messages between players in real time, helping people connect across languages.
Today, Translate Mate is used by thousands of people on Discord – and it all started with DeepL inspiring me to make communication easier for everyone. 🌍💡
DeepL didn’t just help me understand others, it motivated me to create something that helps others understand each other too.
